Executive Leadership in Automation
MY BACKGROUND
A Short Summary

Work
Professional Background
I am a robotics and automation executive with more than 27 years of experience in warehouse automation, material handling, and supply chain technology. Throughout my career, I have led the development of advanced robotic systems and software used in large-scale fulfillment and distribution operations. I have held senior leadership roles at companies including Zebra Technologies and Honeywell, where I helped drive innovation in robotics, automation architecture, and intelligent warehouse systems
Education
Academic Credentials
I hold a degree in Electrical Engineering from the Missouri University of Science and Technology, where I studied Industrial Automation Systems. This served as the basis for my career in the automation industry.

Impact & Recognition
Over the course of my career, I have led the development and deployment of large-scale automation systems that have transformed logistics and manufacturing operations around the world. The engineering teams and programs I’ve led have delivered more than $2.5 billion in automation systems, spanning robotics, warehouse automation, and advanced material handling technologies.
I am the inventor on more than 20 patents in robotics and industrial automation, focused on improving efficiency, scalability, and the practical deployment of robotic systems in real-world operations.
I founded the Intelligrated Advanced Robotics Program, helping drive the early adoption of robotics in distribution and fulfillment environments. I also established the Robotics Center of Excellence at Celestica, creating a platform for developing and integrating advanced robotic technologies into complex automation programs.
More recently, I led the development and launch of Zebra Technologies’ Symmetry AMR Fulfillment Platform, a next-generation mobile robotics solution designed to improve productivity and flexibility in modern fulfillment operations.
I also served as the principal lead for Honeywell’s collaboration with Carnegie Mellon University’s National Robotics Engineering Center (NREC), helping advance the application of robotics and intelligent automation in logistics systems.

Robotics and Logistics industry Articles and Podcasts
Explores how robotics and wearable technologies can help third-party logistics providers address labor shortages, reduce turnover, and improve worker productivity. The article discusses how automation can augment workers rather than replace them and highlights how modern robotics improves workplace satisfaction and operational efficiency.
This article explains how fulfillment operations can significantly improve robot utilization by decoupling autonomous mobile robots (AMRs) from carts. By buffering work with inexpensive carts and coordinating robots through software, warehouses can increase throughput while reducing the number of robots required.
Industry coverage of the launch and expansion of Zebra’s Symmetry Fulfillment platform. The article highlights how the solution combines AMRs, wearables, analytics, and workflow orchestration to improve picking efficiency and reduce costs across warehouse operations.
A Business Wire announcement describing how ODW Logistics adopted Zebra Symmetry Fulfillment to increase productivity in e-commerce operations. The deployment demonstrates how coordinated robotics and worker workflows can significantly increase pick rates while reducing operational costs.
A panel discussion with robotics and automation leaders exploring the state of warehouse automation, the impact of labor shortages, and the role of robotics in improving supply chain productivity. The discussion highlights how companies must evaluate the full automation ecosystem—not just robots—to achieve real ROI.
Podcast interview discussing the challenges of designing and manufacturing robots at scale. The conversation explores robotics product development, supply chains, and how companies can accelerate robotics commercialization through engineering and manufacturing partnerships.
